In the best district in the region, it was inevitable someone would fall to the bottom of the table.
On their resumes, though, Annandale has road wins over South County and Falls Church, the latter by 30 points, and West Potomac beat Lee.
Both these teams pride themselves in line play, so watch that as the key determinant in this match-up.
Wolverine senior hybrid Shakil White will be called upon to slow the Atoms’ zone-read offense. On the other side of the ball, the play of Annandale senior Alhaji Bah and Nick Choung in the defensive backfield will be key in slowing the West Potomac spread.
The Atoms have lost six straight games and need to snap that skid to avoid their worst win-loss record since 2000.
Annandale has beaten West Potomac in eight of the last 10 meetings since the Wolverines won the region in 1998.
